Title fight added to Tyson card

Promoter Chris Webb/Straight Out Promotions had added a 12-round world championship fight to the Friday, July 30, 2004, boxing event at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Mike Tyson vs Danny Williams main event and co-featured bouts will be televised on Showtime Pay Per View. The telecast will begin at 9:00 P.M. Eastern Time, 6:00 P.M. Pacific Time, and have a suggested retail price of $44.95.

In the co-featured fight, WBO jr. flyweight world champion Nelson Dieppa, 20-1-2, with 12 knockouts, of Vieques, Puerto Rico, will make his fourth defense of the title against Ulises "Archie" Solis, 18-0-1, with 13 knockouts, of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Chris Webb said today, "Puerto Rico and Mexico have very rich boxing traditions, and their rivalry in the ring has produced some tremendous battles. We're very excited to add this sensational matchup to the Mike Tyson-Danny Williams main event. We're planning to have nine fights on the card altogether, and will have more announcements soon."

Dieppa, now 33 years old, is an 11-year professional veteran. He won the WBO world title in April, 2001, and has made three successful title defenses. He is undefeated in his last 10 fights - 8-0, 1 technical draw, 1 no decision - going back over five years. Solis has held the Mexican National jr. flyweight title since August, 2003, and made three successful title defenses. Just 22 years old, he is undefeated in his four-year pro career.
