In an IBF light heavyweight title elimination bout, former world champion Glen Johnson (43-10-2, 29 KOs) scored a tenth round TKO over George Khalid Jones (23-2-1, 13 KOs) #5 WBA, #10 WBC, #11 IBF Friday night at the Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks, Calif. (near Sacramento). Johnson dropped Jones in the opening seconds with a big right hand and landed well to the body as the fight progressed. Jones fought back bravely, but the former champ had too much firepower. In round ten, Johnson trapped Jones on the ropes and pummeled him until the fight was stopped. Time was 2:30. With the win, Johnson earned another shot at IBF champ Clinton Woods, whom he is 1-0-1 against in previous meetings.

Jo, ich glaub Woods freut sich schon richtig auf Johnson. Bisher kam er ja immer prima mit ihm klar, oder? :teufel:
